  • Every track is purged

PRE-DELAY COMPENSATION
  • Every track have it's own PDC (Pre-Delay Compensation) according to the values found either on the manual or composer forums.

MIC POSITIONS TOTAL CONTROL
  • The 4 mic positions (Spot 1, Spot 2, Main, Room) are assigned to MIDI CCs within Kontakt for each track :
    • CC50 = Spot 1 mic
    • CC51 = Spot 2 mic
    • CC52 = Main mic
    • CC53 = Room mic
  • Assign those MIDI CCs to 4 faders in your MIDI Keyboard
  • You can select multiple tracks and change the mic balance by moving your faders. Once you are happy with the balance, hit record at the beginning of the track and move them to freeze the positions.

MIDI INIT EVENTS
  • A small MIDI Event at the beginning of each track (at bar -4) to set the level of MIDI CCs as following to avoid common issue (no sound etc.) :
    • CC1 (Dynamic) = 60
    • CC11 (Expression) = 60
    • CC7 (Kontakt Volume) = 127
    • CC21 and CC2 (vibrato) = 0
    • CC64 = Sustain Pedal = 0
    • Pitchbend = 0
  • A small MIDI Event at the beginning of each track (at bar -3) to set a mic position balance
  • To add bars before bar 1 in your template, Go to Project->Project Setup->Increase "Display Bar Offset"

  • As different composers have different needs, it's up to you to do the routing that most suits your workflow

  4. Check all the tracks

  5. The first time you'll enable one of the tracks, you will be prompted by kontakt to locate the Cinematic Studio Woodwinds library on your hard drive.
  6. Make sure to route the imported tracks as you wish.
  7. If you cannot see the full name of the tracks, "right click" on any track -> "Track Control Settings" -> Increase the name Width
